Discover the Diverse Wildlife of Sabi Sabi Game Reserve
Sculpted into a slope of the earth, Earth Lodge’s organic architecture awakens the senses with a masterful use of texture, space and light. Everywhere there is evidence of nature at work, with almost every facet of the lodge inspired by the surrounding environment.
The clean lines and natural finishes are the perfect foil for the luxury, grandeur and lavish touches that epitomise Earth Lodge – individual splash pools for each suite, a butler, ultra-luxurious bathrooms, magnificent wooden carvings, sculpted furniture and an underground wine cellar that is home to over 6,000 bottles of rare, special wines. Everything is inspired by nature – impala horn shapes for table legs, water lily leaf shapes for table designs, tree branches for countertops. As in Nature, everything at Earth Lodge exists in harmony and visitors are immediately aware of a sense of calm and a restorative spirit.
Home to 12 ultra-luxurious suites, the lodge breaks with traditional bush lodge style to create a masterpiece of elegance, futuristic style and luxury. Each suite features a private pool, butler, en-suite glass fronted bathroom, outdoor shower and specially commissioned furnishings. The indoor-outdoor dining area overlooks a waterhole and unending bush, and the lodge has a library, underground wine cellar, Zen garden and Amani Spa.
Uninterrupted bush stretches in front of Earth Lodge – a taste of the Big 5, open vehicle safari experience that draws guests back time and again.
A masterpiece of organic design, architecture and dramatic minimalism, our award-winning Earth Lodge seamlessly integrates with nature. This living gallery of the senses is a must for those who appreciate the art of luxuriating among the animals of the African continent.
Each of the ultra-luxurious suites glows with warmth and light. The floors are adorned with Nguni hides, delicately shimmering with touches of gold, copper and silver. Individually designed and sculpted furnishings and deluxe beds are covered in soft, sumptuous fabrics. And overhead, the handmade twig chandeliers with gilded metal branches twinkle softly, mirroring the stars in the night sky. En-suite glass-fronted bathrooms with deep stone baths and indoor and al-fresco showers, lead to secluded private plunge pools with lounging chairs facing the bushveld.
Two safaris per day – morning and afternoon/evening – 3 hours each with a morning and afternoon coffee/sundowner stop.
A walking safari with your rangers is optional and takes place after breakfast, with your ranger.
We offer a Community Tour, available to Sabi Sabi guests after breakfast each day. This is to be pre-booked at an additional charge, and these funds are invested back into the community.
The tour focuses on an authentic experience, and you will have the chance to view life from the perspective of our staff, as the majority of our staff are from the local communities of Lillydale, Justicia and Huntington.
