At Hamiltons Tented Camp, each day brings a new opportunity to experience the magic of the African bush. Set out on morning and evening game drives through landscapes shaped by open savannahs, river pools and ancient trees, where every safari promises something different. As one of the Kruger National Park’s pioneering private concessions, Mluwati is dedicated to protecting and preserving this remarkable wilderness for generations to come. Home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife, the concession offers the chance to encounter Africa’s iconic Big Five, alongside 147 mammal, 114 reptile and 34 amphibian species.

All 6 spacious luxury tents are decorated in true “Out of Africa” style with antique style slipper baths and rain showers and flowing mosquito nets. The recent addition of exclusive Sala lounges for each tent boasts leather couches and hospitality cabinets and include mini bars, tea and coffee making facilities. Private plunge pools are suspended upon the extended teak decks which have been positioned to enjoy the breath-taking views. Each tent is fitted with a radio, hairdryer, ceiling fan, air-conditioner, and personal safe. Guests are accommodated in six exceptionally private luxury elevated tents overlooking the N’waswitsontso River. From your own private deck, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush that derives its existence from the river.

Guests can enjoy a morning and afternoon safari in open 4 x 4 vehicles. The early morning safaris are very rewarding with light for photography. Lions are still lively and on the move at this time, antelope are more energetic and an abundance of birds may also be seen. The afternoon safaris provide an opportunity to see nocturnal animals and perhaps even the elusive Leopard.
