The intimate Leadwood Lodge is the ideal choice small groups of friends or family sharing an African safari. Nestled in the fork of the Sand and Mabrak Rivers, Leadwood Lodge offers a cosy and serene getaway that is completely at peace with the bush that surrounds it.
Constructed for maximum privacy, the four suites ensure total serenity and solitude. Simply relax on your private veranda or while away the hours absorbed in the peace of the bush. Floor to ceiling glass windows afford wide views of the animals coming down to drink at the rocky river’s edge. The colours and textures of the bush follow you indoors and even the indoor shower is encased in glass. Shared guest areas are intimate too, with steps and levels creating cosy, secluded areas. Leadwood Lodge Suites
With a granite river bank in front of the lodge, you’re bound to spot a four-legged visitor or two quenching their thirst. When the sun gets too hot, enjoy a refreshing dip in the king size plunge pool on your suite’s private deck. When the chill of the African night creeps up, retire to the warmth and comfort of the fireplace in your private suite. The deep, free-standing tub in the bathroom beckons and the underfloor heating chases the chill from the smooth rock floor.
Early morning game drives in an open 4×4 vehicle are organised every day. Knowledgeable rangers with a tons of experience and a true passion for South African flora and fauna will guide you during your safari adventure. The rangers will be in contact with each other to track wild animals. Besides morning safaris, also afternoon safaris and guided bushwalks are on offer. Enjoy South Africa’s beautiful nature and discover the wildlife of the area. The rangers will help you to snap the perfect photograph as a reminder of your unforgettable stay at Ulusaba Rock Lodge. When not on exploration in the bush, you can relax a little at the swimming pool or in the spa. More active travellers can make use of the tennis court of gym, no that’s what we call a special place to work out. You are also invited to visit the wine cellar or gaze at the stars in the bush observatory.
